●Automatic measurement The sensor of the Rebar Detector is parallel to the direction of the steel bar and sweeps directly above the steel bar at a constant speed. The instrument emits a beep to remind the sensor to cross a steel bar. At this time, the protective layer display value is automatically updated to the protective layer thickness value at that place.
●Manual measurement If the spacing between steel bars is less than that described in the above table, manual measurement methods are required to determine the thickness of the protective layer. The Rebar Detector is parallel to the direction of the steel bar and sweeps directly above the steel bar at a constant speed, and the thickness of the protective layer is determined according to the current display value of the distance and the change of the signal value.
●Minimum protective layer thickness measurement This function of the Rebar Detector is mainly used in the following occasions: 1. Quickly check whether the thickness of the concrete protective layer meets the minimum design value, and alarm for abnormal points; 2. After the template is removed, check whether the steel bars are stretched out.
